Aaron Webster received the September Asset Builder Award on behalf of Cape Disappointment State Park, presented by Carly Castaneda.
Cape Disappointment State Park was awarded the Asset Builder Award by WellSpring Community Network on September 8, 2015. Cape Disappointment has provided a number of free concerts and park days throughout the summer, providing pro-social activities to youth and families.

WellSpring particularly acknowledged the work of park ranger Aaron Webster, who accepted the award. Webster arranged ranger visits for youth in Summer Boost, a summer academic support program, to learn about a variety of topics. Youth in Summer Boost, Boys & Girls Clubs, and English Language Learners also took a field trip to Cape Disappointment to learn about the expedition of Lewis and Clark. Nearly 100 students, staff, and volunteers attended the field trip and were treated with great care and enthusiasm.

WellSpring thanks Cape Disappointment and Aaron Webster for creating valuable educational and social events for local youth!
