To support community wellness in South Pacific County through active collaborations

June Asset Builder: Mark Hottowe

6/10/2014

WellSpring Community Network’s Asset Builder for the month of June is Ocean School District Superintendent Mark Hottowe. Mark became involved with WellSpring in spring of 2012, not long after his arrival in the area. Since then he has been instrumental in supporting a variety of different WellSpring initiatives including various Town Hall events, supporting Sarah Taylor’s position as intervention specialist at Ilwaco Middle/High School, and was a driving force behind the partnership between Ocean Beach School District and Willapa Behavioral Health to provide the school district with counselors in the schools. Most recently Mark helped WellSpring’s submit a re-application for the federal Drug-Free Communities (DFC) grant.

WellSpring would like to thank Mark for his continuous support as a coalition member and for being a strong supporter of prevention efforts in our community.
