On January 10, 2017, Long Beach police chief Flint Wright presented Sid’s Market with the Asset Builder Award. Owner Chuck Winn accepted the award on behalf of the market, which has a long history of community charity and donations.
Winn is also a well-known figure for his guidance and mentorship of young people, including Wright when he was employed at Sid’s Market as a young man. Sid’s Market has been a staple on the Long Beach peninsula not only as a local business, but as a neighbor and friend.
Thank you to Sid's Market and Chuck Winn for all you do for this community! Your love and kindness have touched so many.
