The fourth annual Pacific County Project Homeless Connect will take place Thursday, January 26, 2017 from 10 am to 3 pm at the BPOE 1937 Elks Lodge at 110 Pacific Highway in Long Beach. All community members who are experiencing homeless or poverty are invited to come receive services and get get connected.
Project Homeless Connect (PHC) is a one day, one place event run by Peninsula Poverty Response (PPR). At PHC, individuals experiencing homelessness can connect to much needed social services and enjoy a warm meal with good people.
During PHC committed volunteers from various businesses, religious groups, fraternities, and other organizations partner with providers of medical, legal, mental health, dental, housing, veterans’ benefits, veterinarian services and more. Guests receive a warm meal, a haircut if desired, clothing for children or adults as needed, and most importantly, connection with fellow community members who genuinely care about their wellbeing.
